Crows
are both tricksters and messengers in
our myths. Here they gather with an elvin
spirit who keeps watch over them.
About Faeries
All around us there are angels, fairies,
elves, devas, and assorted other nature spirits.
Those of us who have grown up in the Western
world have usually been taught to believe
only what we can see and prove with rational science.
As a result, we have lost touch with our
intuitive awareness of that which lies beyond
our physical senses. Yet there, in the realm
of intuition and the knowing of our hearts,
lies the greatest wealth of experience. This is where we find our
creativity, as every artist, poet, and composer
knows. It is where we feel love and joy and
inspiration. And it is where we can hear
and see the angels and nature spirits.
I feel fortunate that I grew up
close to nature. I spent my childhood
running through orchards, climbing trees,
and exploring creeks. I always had an intuitive
understanding of animals and later plants.
As a young adult I was drawn to the myths
and fairy tales of the world. It wasn't long
before I realized that those tales had a
reality behind them. As I grew to accept
that reality more and more, I found that
I was sometimes able to hear the voices of the nature
spirits and angels around me, and occasionally
I could even see fairies and stone people.
I learned that many of the nature spirits
have retreated underground, because of the
way humans have destroyed so much of nature.
But I was also told that the nature spirits
are willing, and even eager, to work with us
to heal that damage. They say that if we
work with them instead of against them we
would be able to feed everyone on Earth easily.
Our gardens and farms would amaze us with
their bounty. Small experiments have been
tried in places like Findhorn and Perlandra Gardens,
which have
shown the value of working with the nature
spirits. They want all humans to know
that such miraculous results are easy to
achieve everywhere on the planet, if only
we will begin to respect nature and work
in cooperation with the nature spirits.
It is not too late to turn the damage around.
We have helpers eagerly waiting to assist
us. All we have to do is believe and open
our hearts to receive their guidance. They
can tell us how to care for our plants and
animals, how to use plants to heal our diseases,
how to manifest abundance in our lives, and
most importantly, how to live in joy. No
matter how much nature has been abused, they
continue to work in love and joy.
They have so much to teach us.
