The Crone is one of the three faces or phases of the Goddess in her ancient and timeless aspect. Her wise and sometimes frightening face is often connected with the wise owl, and with death, war, and destruction. She brings decay, so new growth can emerge from the old, just as she transforms herself back to the form of the maiden. We see this cycle repeated every day as darkness becomes dawn, and every year as winter turns to spring.

Enjoy the rich warmth of honey colors and experience a sense of being part of the hive in this wonderful tribute to honeybees. – Melissa is the latin name for bees and this image celebrates the wonder of bees in our world. This lovely red-haired goddess puts a human face on the queen bee deva of all bees, everywhere. She is surrounded by honeycomb and her favorite plant, Melissa officinalis (also known as lemon balm – a very healing herb for us too). Her message is a reminder to honor and protect the bees that are so essential to pollinating our crops and flowers. They are the most important helpers in producing so much of our food.

Arianrhod, Welsh star goddess, represents the Virgin in the Celtic
triad of goddesses. She spins the crystal castle of stars known as
the Milky Way. Arianrhod is often equated with the Greek Ariadne, the
spinner goddess who spins our universe on her spindle. She is a Virgin
goddess who gave birth to two sons, Lleu and Dylan, after stepping
over Math’s “wand” in the story of Math from the Mabinogion.

In the beginning, the Goddess Brigit heard Earth singing
in the pit of chaos and she felt compassion for the planet.
She called to the gods to go with her to bring gifts to Earth,
because its song was so beautiful. Once there, she laid her
mantle over the ground and immediately Earth grew green,
and the waters flowed. But one of the younger gods grew
impatient and jumped down upon the mantle before it had
finished unfurling, which stopped it from opening any
further. The land beneath her mantle still remains.
Today it is called Ireland.
